Hello all, I found this site as one of the best directories for drivers when looking to get sound working on my laptop with Windows 10. I have just upgraded and am having a horrid time getting sound to work- the reltek drivers actually work fine once I plug in headphones but no sound comes from the speakers. I've already spent over 10 hours trying loads of different drivers from the genericc MS to Realtek and nothing seems to be working. I have followed all the other advice I could find online about adjusting the frequency levels, uninstalling and reinstalling - I reinstalled windows 10 from scratch twice and still no joy. I have tried the latest drivers linked versions 188.8.131.5225, and 7629, and 7572 (which works on my gf's Acer laptop) and the following driver from Gigabyte support - 7553 as well as many more. I have a new Gigabyte P35W v3 and am now stuck on Windows 10 as 7 came preinstalled without a disc and I badly need to get my machine up and running for work but no audio is proving extremely annoying. Can anyone please offer any other advice to help resolve this as it is driving me nuts! You can see the current driver installed in the picture attached - I almost feel like I must be missing a hardware switch or something at this stage the laptop just came back from Gigabyte support and they swapped out the motherboard - but can it be hardware at all if it works when I plug in headphones?? Any help is much appreciated!
