Guest Guest
owner of an acer aspire 1714smi cpu: p4 - 3.4 ht ram: 1gb hd: 120gb gpu: geforce go 5700 128 mb 3dmark scores with driver 77.72 with overclock @ 420/725 3dmark 2001 SE - 13415 3dmark 2003 - 3673 3dmark 2005 - 667 most stable drivers tried until now: nvidia official 56.77 (native for -all- nvidia gpus made until that period) with that driver the scores where lower due to lack of native overclock features in driver: 3dmark 2001 SE - 12345 3dmark 2003 - 3245 3dmark 2005 -
Guest Guest
on a side note: your scores seem to be much lower than mine, but mine went as down as 8000 points for 3dmark 2001, that was due to dust clogging the air vents. Dismantle your notebook, and use an air compressor on the cpu and gpu air vents, mine went with a *pouf* of dust that could be seen a mile away, these benchmarks are as of today, 17 ays after the dusting :)
zipper
My GPU core overclocks barely to 390, a not so good example. Edited September 4, 2005 by ®®®

Guest S'D'Leo
I've tried tried NFS underground2 and it's sooo slowww with the 81.29. Was very fast with previous 71.89 drivers, tho' :) Also, had to enable VMR to see my avi's.... Anything I should try before switching back? Tanx in advance! BTW: I've got an acer aspire 1712smi: cpu: p4 - 3.0 ht ram: 1gb hd: 120gb gpu: geforce go 5700 128 mb

zipper
81.26 may be an early alpha and benchmark optimized, so an older driver may give better overall performance. NFSU 2 has never been fluid on my go5700, which tends to "stick" momentarily and then roll on fast - a typical behaviour of all 5700 chips I think. I didn't notice a bigger difference in NFSU2 on 81.26 but it may be there. Try 77.77 for example.

zipper
Yep, probably the CPU - must have it tested; hope it's not the mobo, getting it fixed could take ages.

Du kannst in Prinzip alle Treiber gebrauchen, nur originale Inf mit mobile Inf ersetzen. z.B: http://download.laptopvideo2go.com/nvidia/80series/8212.exe - durchfuehren (?)(execute) und kopiere darauf http://laptopvideo2go.com/infs/80series/8212inf/nv4_disp.inf (mein Deutsch sucks...)
