Yeah but there's a but, it always gives error code 10 or 39 and it does not automatically pick it up. I have to manually force it to install because it says Windows can not verify if it is compatible. By the way, I think that it's based on AR5008X if that helps (you might know that already but anyway).

The unmodded drivers should work from the box.
My modded ones will do what you see, as I specialise in AR5008x and now 982x chipsets.

I'll look into adding more support for the other chipset in 2 weeks or so, remind if I havn't done so by then

By the way, I tried modded v7.6.0.83 driver and it picked AR5008X automatically without need to force it but the problem is still there: error code 10 device can not start.

It should be supported as it's in the INF as such
ATHR.DeviceDesc.DWA547 = "D-Link DWA-547 RangeBooster N650 Desktop Adapter"

It does not automatically install the driver because Vista can not verify that it is compatible with it an it gives error code 10 when I force install it. I really do not know why it does not work.

If I remember correctly, Atheros 7.3.1.073 came bundled with WLanMon 5.0.0.439.
There might be a newer version of WLanMon available somewhere though.
"I'm seriously you guys" said Toe in a rather confused manner
"Look, you have been clay pigeoned.." replied Goff but was interrupted by Toe
"Again?" interrupted Toe
"..with a rather fetching shotgun" said Goff

I found version(5.0.0.439) of the WlanMon utility here: http://www.versiontr...info/win/153268
I did not know this utility until now...I tried on my laptop with a AR5007EG and some fields get filled and updated on transmit/receive and the monitor does not work with the driver version i have, that is 7.4.2.57, from windows update.

I have a DWA-556 PCIe card, and with the 7.4.2.15 drivers I cannot connect to 802.11n signals anymore, so I had to roll back to stay on my n network. Looks like those drivers are a bit messed.

I'm trying to get my D-Link DWA-556 connected to my Wireless N Network using my D-Link DGL-4500
The only time the card can connect is when the router is in Mixed g/n mode, why?

The card is a N card, but when I switch the router to N mode only, Vista reports "The wireless network adapter does not meet the minimum requirements of this wireless network"

Any ideas?

Hello, I've been using the Netgear WPN311 (Apparently AR5004G Chipset). Are there ANY available 64-bit Drivers that will allow the Wildpackets PEEK protocol to install on a Vista 64-bit system? Many of the drivers you provide here seem to install and work flawlessly, but for some reason when attempting to add the "PEEK" protocol (after the Atheros drivers are in place/working) it says cannot find compatible adapter. Now the 4.2.2.9 Atheros drivers WORK with the PEEK protocol but apparently are not available in 64-bit flavor. Any thoughts on this frustrating, time eating black-hole of an issue?

Can anyone point me to a link with Atheros drivers AND PEEK drivers that work together on Vista x64? In otherwords, I'd like to install 64-bit Atheros drivers on Vista x64, and THEN install a 64-bit PEEK protocol driver without it giving me an error of "cannot find compatible hardware for this device"....
