no installation problems. good overclocking too. however, frame rates drop significantly after a few minutes of gaming.

I use these on a Dell XPS m1330 and they work great! Super performance in Gears of War with a 4.1/4.8 Aero/Gaming score.

Have no benchmarks, but nTune reports temperatures up to 101°C when playing Gears of War. Had these temps with the official 174.31 Dell driver (which sucks), so I guess there's no problem. This GPU is supposed to withstand temps up to 120°C if I'm not mistaken.

Best drivers for m1330 as of yet. (same performance as 169.09 or better!!!).

GPU scaling works (not powermizer of course cause it's not in Vista, get that through your head people!)

Keep up the good work LV2Go !

"Powermizer" is commonly known as the SmartDimmer feature, which is in Vista :)

However, these fast few versions of 174 either don't have it or it isn't working...

:)

This looks like a good one, I'll try it out ASAP.

Amazing!

One of the best performance drivers I've seen so far.

Games perform brilliantly and I don't think I've ever seen Vista Aero run so smoothly and consistantly.

Read the nVidia Powermizer 7.0 Technical Brief. On page 12 it clearly states that Powermizer is in windows vista, but it is automatically set through the operating systems power profiles.

Thanks for this, by the way.

I've been looking for a definite source to show people who doubt the fact.

Can anyone with a Dell XPS 1710 with 7950GTX report what the idle running temperature is like with this driver compared to the 167.45 drivers from Dell please? Also do the clock speeds drop down to 200/300 when idle or are they fixed? I'd do it myself but my bandwidth is really bad at the moment and it'd take me a long time to download these, just want to know if it's worth my time. Cheers.

Looks quite ordinary driver to me. Powermizer works for me and dont see any performance boost, it just raised my GPU temp by 6 Celcius idle and 8 Celcius :) while playing.

Can you please explain what's the difference between GPU scaling and powermizer?

How can I find out if powermizer works?

Thanks!

Use NVMonitor (part of nTune) or GPU-Z (second, sensor tab). Core frequency and (on many laptops also) Memory frequency go up if your run a 3-D application like Second Life or video, and then back down again when you exit all 3-D applications/videos. (Some 945 laptops keep the dedicated NVIDIA VRAM Memory frequency maxed all the time.)

Good drivers with no noticable bugs as of yet. 174.74s are a good find.

My girlfriend's laptop has some problems with the new NVIDIA drivers. She's got an Acer Aspire 5920G.
The problem is that every time she turns off her laptop, or simply it goes on ibernation, or stand-by, the settings of the screen resolution come back to 800x600.
How can we solve this problem?
These drivers work perfectly on my PC.
I hope someone can help me... thanks in advance for your help!

i reinstalled the drivers and messed around with the NVcp.
I turned threaded optimisation to auto and now i dont get BSOD.

Noticiable improvements in all games compared to 167.62
