Had a crash while playing Crysis and couldnt even get to play Counterstrike due to crashes while searching for a server.

Unistalled them and switched back to 175.63, everything seems to be working again.

Works nicely with my Geforce Go 6150. Been using 1yr drivers as normally beta drivers give me 4bit colour so i have to revert back to previous drivers.

Much happier now:)

Thanks!

if you experience crashes like that diasable powermizer in the nvidia control panel.
thats the main reason i dont use powermizer is because it crashes my game everytime i load a game.
with it disabled it doesnt crash.

and thats the reason why i left vista is because i cant disbale powermizer in that os :'(
or i could stick with it and be left with stock drivers :|

I am having 2x 8700M GT and this driver drops my framerate when playing Crysis quite noticeable.

I reverted back to 174.74

Hi

I'm like an amateur at the technical stuff though I do play a lotta computer games. Just got an Inspiron 1720 a week back and formatted it to put Win Xp PRO SP 2 and the latest driver on the dell support site was the 174.31 which was added around in march. Tried downloading the 175.16 from the nVidia site but when I tried to install it, just said isn't compatible with my hardware. Any suggestions??

Hi chaps

I am having no end of trouble getting a driver for the GeForce 8600 in my Acer Aspire 5920 notebook since I reformatted to get rid of Vista and installed WinXP SP2 on it. XP works fine, all the other drivers went on with no problem, but not the *?@+$!*! nVidia ones! I have tried so many different driver versions that I've lost count, I'm using the the modded .inf files and I've tried various methods of installation - NOTHING WORKS!!! the machine just keeps coming back with the same error messages - basically that the drivers aren't compatible with the hardware - it's like the machine refuses to acknowledge that the graphics card exists! I'm even wondering if it's actually got a GeForce 8600 in it - whenever I run a system inspection I just get 'Unknown monitor' or 'unknown display adapter'...

It seems that some people out there have managed to do it so what is it that I'm doing wrong?

Should I just go out and get a different graphics card?

Own a custom built T9300 Dual core intel processor, 2 gigs of muskin ram on a 200 gig 7200rpm hard drive, with windows XP, on top of a 8600M GT Video Card

3Dmark06 Score, 4458, not bad i think for a mobile laptop, using the 175.16 driver setup

Do you have 5920 or 5920G? If you have a 5920 then it doesn't have nVidia graphics card at all, it has Intel X300 graphics accelerator or something - only 5920G has the nVidia card.

Would it be possible to add support for the GTX295 to the modded INF?

Would help a lot of overclockers :-)

I just brought a Nvidia Geforce FX 5200 graphics card and it didn't have a install file for a 32 bit system.

Now I can use the card!

Thanks again! :doublelol:
