Hey,

firsttimer: I have this non-starting (but booting, yay) laptop, new (out of box),
followed al findable guidelines in the delivered booklets, searched the pdf online too.

Problem: loads to acer e-recovery pre-installed program, once in there i can't do a thing but
exiting, then the system reboots automatically.

I searched (and tried out) all bios settings / combo 's, even resetting the whole thing to factory
default settings.

Question: Solution?

Tonight i will trie safebooting and recovering the system from within, i'll let you know, meanwhile
suggestions are more than welcome!

Thanks in advance.

Try calling 1-800-ACER (?) or their support. It is still in warranty, so if its not working as intended, back to the manufacturer. Real simple. Youre not a BETA tester :)

I agree.
If it's booting into acer e-recovery there is a problem with the harddisk maybe the MBR, this is not your problem.

One of the worst feelings in the world. Having a brand new laptop and just having it sitting there. I sympathize with you. Acer should be able to remedy your situation promptly so it's a pretty good idea to ring them as soon as possible.
