Hello Friends ,

Now i'm using XP sp3 and works very cool

No problems till now

Nvidia driver 178.13 (Y) modded
games are %15 faster than playing on Vista
Temp are more low (35-40 max ) with idle and heavy load (60-72max)

I wish we can OC now , even on Xp so we get more space ..

Thanks

whohh! two days of absence and this thread as grown bigger than ever!

may i have a little sum up, leshcat? i tried to catch some infos but it's all quite messy ;)

Here is sum up:
Thanks to anothergeek method, thanks to this simple manual http://forums.vr-zon...ead.php?t=56017

With RivaTuner i ve been able to overclock the shader clock, could not mem clock and core.

I ve succeeded to do it on F.0C A BIOS which modding GPU BIOS to 19 + 176.22 HP driver.

Seems BIOS is still blocking core and mem overclocking ability.

Does the Shader O.C make a difference ?

And what is the limit to O.C the Shader ?
thanks

It does, but small, i raised from 1250 to 1400 and got 150 extra marks. No changes in temp.

To all HP DV5 owners:

Check for that type of overclocking, write here your result,ALSO BIOS,GPU BIOS,Driver,OS versions.

It Works On Shader !!

Shader is now 1600 with no more heat ,, +Speed

I noticed that we can control the clocks now but the core and mem clock rate are limited to 500/400

have you tried 500/1250/400? if you can set it and rivatuner keeps it memorized, then you're done. otherwise, just follow the tutorial from the linked posted a few messages upwards by leshcat.

ok i figured out that i can raise my shaders and rivatuner saves it and show increased on the graph as well, but memory and clock just keep on resetting back to 400/400. also whn i dont use force performance mode, the shaders also reset theirself.

are you sure that the clock's max limit is 400? because i managed to get it to 500!

Guys...our standart clocks are 500\1250\400 - core\shr\mem respectively. When you push Force Mode and reboot,Rivatuner will set as she thinks "standart" 400\800\400 clocks. 1-st thing you should do is to set real standart stuff. Then save it as new profile, calling it for example 'standart'. Alway check whats happening by RivaTuners Monitor. Then you ll be able to change only shr clock. When you done, for example set it to 1500,save new profile, call it '1500 shdr' for example. Now you can change profiles in realtime,Monitor will show changes.
