Kelios
If you have a 96xx card dont use the driverWhich driver do you prefer for 96xx cards to get the best performance for the HL²-engine or newer games like mass-effect? Until now i have tested some drivers (175.97, 176.24, 176.68, 179.28 beta, 179.28, 179.48) and i think the 179.48 is the fastest one of the tested drivers. If there is a more suitable driver please post the version number. :)

Andrew55
If it's unstable then you may have to look for another driver version (try dox 182.05)

Guest CruDeLioS
These drivers are indeed very fast, GTAIV improved by 50%... Unfortunately they also overheated my card to the point major artifacting appeared, even after closing the game. Had to reboot and rollback, and for a second I thought my graphics card was gone..... Compal IFL90 with 8600M GT 512MB DDR2
Guest asdf
This driver is severely flawed. I can't speak for game performance but after I installed the drivers my laptop's screen wouldn't resume from sleep. The computer would start back up but the screen remained black. Had to roll back. I'm can't even say for certain that it's the driver but they do correlate so w/e
