2) I've checked this topic, haven't found a description of similar thing, but if it's in any other place already .. sorry, haven't read everything
So : I've used at least 4-5 different versions of your drivers Dox, every time with a clean install .. and they all cause my laptop to freeze. I mean, f.e. I'm watching movie, and then without any warning, it freezes -> I can see the same picture on the screen, like it took a print screen, I can hear a sound for ~4-5 secs more, and then it freezes completly. Can do nothing, only reset helps. I think that whatever it is, it also causes my HDD to turn off, cause I can hear that short sound of what I think is hdd turning down. ( + the hdd diode stops to blink, it usualy blinks every 1-2 secs even when I'm not doing anything
It happened mostly when I was watching films/playing old dos games ( during 42 minute episode, average was ~2 crashes / I tried to play a game I used to play 10 years ago -> everytime I turned it on, after 1 - 15 minutes ( random, sometimes even after like 15 secs ) it crashed ).
Strangely, playing Counter-strike caused no problem.
Temperatures seemed to be ok - I mean, as far as I can tell using my hand -> it wasnt even close to hot, after rebooting it also seemed ok. + the random time -> I don't think that my gpu could go 120 degrees after playing supaplex for 15 secs, could it? 0_o
I installed official Nvidia laptop drivers, and had no freeze like that ever since.

surprisingly it works like charm and it do gave me fps improvement in my games.

Thanx DOX for your great drives
i have a 8600M GT 512Mb, my question is, anybody know if this drivers have the sleep issue in my videocard?
i still the 181.20 DOX version because with this work the sleep mode and the games performance is rly nice, but the 182.05 is more stable for me but sleep not work.
Thnx, greetings

however i;d like to ask something, Mr.Dox.
before i installed this on a sony vaio FE45 with Go7600 128MB DDR, it has 256MB turbocache. the driver is 79. something.
so i decided to install the lates 185.20 hoping for improvement. it did brings improvement, but i notice that the turbocache size blows to 1279MB.
dedicated 128MB, total 1404MB.
it is shown in nvidia control panel and dxdiag as well. hence does it means newer driver shows larger turbocache support?

I use your drivers for my 7950 GTX to fix the problem with textures on GTA 4.
A week ago my graphics card died. I started using your graphics drivers 181.22 in Jan 2009
Now that i have had the card repaired (I was told it was to do with the video processor on the card) i am worried that its going to die again if its the drivers causing problems.
Does this driver over clock the card by default? I want to leave it at stock speed.
Thanks and i have enjoyed using this set of drivers but now concerned.

No. All drivers start at default speed - you have to overclock yourself.

But I would understand if it's basically impossible or too porblematic under Vista to change this function with a modern card (8600GTM).
