dillongeo
Hi, Based on my knowledge on NVIDIA Quadro NVS 135M, it supports TV-out. But when I connect the VGA output of the Dell D630 to a CRT Tube TV with a VGA-to-S-Video cable, the TV can only display scrambled signals. How to solve this problem? Thanks! Bill
Is this just an adapter cable or a converter box? You have to use either a converter box or the actual svideo output on your laptop. (should have one)

(should have one) Thanks. My laptop does not have an actual S-Video output. And I just used a VGA-to-S-Video cable to connect the laptop and the TV. I though this would work, as the datasheet of NVIDIA Quadro NVS 135M says that this video card supports TV-out. So, the TV-out will not function unless I have a converter box or my laptop has an actual S-Video interface (a small round hole like PS/2), right? Bill
Yeah nvidia cards don't support those proprietary S-video to VGA connectors. However the card, especially if its MXM, should support S-video. All you need to do is solder 3 wires onto the right pins of the graphics card. :)

That seems to be a very hard task for me. :)
Guest Guest
Just to let you know that dockings stations for the Latitude D630 have a S-video output, mine as been purchased for under 10$US on ebay.
