Is there going to be a modded inf for this version, still using v2.0.0.70+modded inf because with this driver my windows 7 beta 7077 freezes when tying to connect to internet.

Added v2.0.0.73

I get the message that "Windows can't verify the publisher" when I try to update to this driver from Win7 x64 v2.0.0.72. I have to press F8 at boot and "disable driver signature enforcement" so that v2.0.0.73 will load.

I get that with 8.0.0.144 and not this one.

any luck with the driver in 7600 build

Yeah I want to know about this too.

Yip, it's in there 2.0.0.74

Can't say I like it all that much.

It resets my connection after not much activity.

I'll get it up as soon as I have a chance

I get really horrible lockups with most of these drivers on Windows 7 x86 with an AR5008X card, especially the ones out of the box in the final build from Technet. Anyone else having these issues, or is it just me?

Never mind, I got it to work without freezing by booting into safe mode, installing driver 2.0.0.70, and then going into Windows and using Windows Update to update to the latest that it gave me, which was 8.0.0.171. MS and Atheros really need to figure this out, there's way too much confusion between all of their different driver versions. I thought the 2.0.0.x series was the latest and allowed a few Win7 specific features. They're things I wouldn't use anyway, but at the same time, if the 2.0.0.x series is the best, then Windows Update shouldn't be giving the 8.0.0.x series.

It looks like v2 was Atheros attempt to have a driver for WIn7 while in Beta/RTM

v8 looks to be where they will continue on with for Win7

v8 I'm not happy with, too many disconnects

Added 2.0.0.75

Are they continuing both v2 and v8 lines for Win7? I wasn't expecting to see any more v2 releases with v8 out.

And how do you like 2.0.0.75 vs. the latest v8 release?

v2 are bundled with Win7 not sure if v75 is bundled with retail Win7

v2 work just fine for me

Question Smeg,

Are the Atheros v2.x drivers newer than the v8.x series for Windows 7?

Because the numbering system for the drivers, one would think the v8.x series are newer but please enlighten me.

Thanks,
