Dear users,

I'm afraid I have lost overview on all those drivers:

I'm on a i3-3245 / W7. Asrock-Board series 6.

"official" driver offered at Intel search engine is 9.18.10.3257.

additionally, there is

9.18.10.3293 September 06, 2013

and

10.18.10.3304 September 11, 2013

has anyone of you a clue which to install?

kind regards

No, I didn't notice performance differences between 10.18.10.3304 and 10.18.10.3282 on my Ivy Bridge System (on WIndows 8.1 x64).

(I can't use these drivers on my second system (which is still running Win 7), because it has a Sandy Bridge CPU).

On my Windows 7 x64 system with HD4600 all new drivers causing a 10-15% CPU load while my system is in idle. It affects CPU performance, 2D performance and other things. The last drivers without this bug are 9.18.10.3257 and 10.18.10.3262.

Interesting bug. Did you report it to Intel?

Unfortunately I can't test any 9.18.10.xxxx drivers on my Windows 7 system, because it has a Sandy Bridge CPU.

My Ivy Bridge based system is running Windows 8.1 (was running Windows 8 before) and the described problem does not occur there.

Best regards,

Andi

I reported it today. It is unclear however if this is an issue limited to my system or something in general.

I analyzed the CPU usage further and found the problem, it's a graphics driver conflict with Intel 8 Series USB EHCI 82CD. Here a screenshot of the Interrupt usage:

http://s14.directupload.net/images/131003/gpxhzyeq.png

No software is causing it, means some driver issue most likely. Next I did a latency and interrupt dump.

http://s14.directupload.net/images/131003/s4su8h8m.png

http://s1.directupload.net/images/131003/43ug529i.png

As you can see the Interrupt is caused by USBPort.Sys. Tested all USB devices and this is causing it:

http://s14.directupload.net/images/131003/ad3wmj5t.png

When I disable Intel 8 Series USB EHCI 8C2D the CPU Interrupt usage is gone. 0% CPU load in idle. There is a conflict with this device and newer Intel GPU drivers.
