I am so frustrated i read that the inf was in the thread of the driver but I cant find it to download. the link above if that is what it is doesnt click thanks in advance. by the way i'm running in safe mode because if i dont the whole puter locks up with a garbled colorful screen then either shuts down or i hard boot. HELP!!!!!!!! :unbelievable: :willy_nilly:

Will there be a modified INF file? This driver is only useful with the INF file and it appears that we are being teased by a carrot showing the INF file of all things. Funny....

I just made a small test to some few drivers.

I used acronis true image to restore a windows 7 without graphic driver installation.

3dMark 2006 -> Asus m50vn with GeForce 9650M GT 1Gb


176.92 - 4812 Marks
179.88 - 4982 Marks
185.85 Dox - 4905 Marks
186.91 - Crashed
190.89 - Crashed
191.00 - 4655 Marks

Asus G1Sn with GeForce 9500M GS 512MB.

Compared to 182.50, Street Fighter IV is slow i.e. ~29 FPS vs ~50 FPS.

182.50 creates repeated clicks sound when I use USB based sound cards e.g. USB Logitech speakers, USB C-Media AC97(for testing).

nVidia 9650M GT 1024Mb

Stable drivers i tried: 179.88, 182.67, 185.70.
Any other version crashed.
It seems that only specific asus releases work for me.

I found this possible solution on the net, but it didn't work for me.

My benchmarks:
  • 3dMark Vantage: preset "easy", graphic score;
  • Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit: graphic card score;

Just installed this driver and physics, but i cant find how to turn on and off the physics on the nvidia menu.. does this driver supports physics?

Doubt it - even some later 18x.xx drivers do not support it. Or I'm wrong, 177.79 was probably the first one I used with PhysX support, which was bad upto 180.42.
