I have this problem on every new driver i have tried since 179.28 including all the whql drivers and all the drivers from the nvidia page that should work on the 8600m gt(link)

i think the last one that worked well on 8600m gt acer aspire 5920g was 173.80. I haven't tried all new drivers but much of them

i've got 5920g laptop with 8600m gt ....best driver is 195.39 for me.. :happy:

I'm wondering why no news on this forum about faulty G8xxx chipsets, HP, Dell, Sony, Apple... all been hitted, sorry to say that but i will not surprise if your gpu die sooon mate as my did 2 days ago 8600M GS, all them are was defected from nvidia, it's keeps bringing more and more, companies are replacing and it replaced same defected ones, it will go huge, as some people still using it without any probs, same as me, but one day it will die...... very sad, no matted what drivers now on.
