yup, same here! i got a dell 1520.
things like 2 finger scrolling and three finger gestures and coasting working for me now. No pinch zoom though.

Looks like MultiTouch is a feature Synaptic Lock down which was unlock with this drivers.

The next release will include pinch zoom...I hope.yup, same here! i got a dell 1520.

I too got this successfully installed on my Dell Vostro 1500, XP3.
I was wondering if anyone knows of any way to enable Pinch Zoom and other options that appear in the registry. Please see this post in the Synaptics thread for more info:

This worked great on my Sony VAIO AW series PC with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit! Finally, I have multi-touch gestures with my Synaptics TouchPad v7.0.

Great! worked on my Dell Inspiron 1520. I had to uninstall touchpad driver first though - through Add/remove programs. Now I can two-finger scroll like on a Macbook! Thanks
