The title has a typo. The 6 and 9 are backwards... although I think we all like the current title better. :banana_groove:

Edit: Due to the wording in my post I want to clarify that the driver in this thread is 258.96. The original title was 258.69, which was the typo.

these 256x set don't seem to like my system very much. had to install once using have disk method, and this latest set have a slow response time in the control panel. im starting to really question nvidia's commitment with the 256x set

Yep, noticed it with some recent drivers, too.

Are you two referring to the Windows Control Panel or the NVIDIA Control Panel? My response on the Windows Control Panel is nearly instant and the NVIDIA Control Panel isn't far behind. Granted I don't use either Control Panel often enough to notice a change over the past few drivers.

So far these drivers seem to be working well. No real noticeable difference from my usage though (email, internet, movies, and StarCraft 2!).

I was referring to the Nvidia Control Panel. for me there is about a 3sec delay when selecting a different tab. Although i have noticed my temps have dropped by about 5 or so degrees if not more, but frame rate hasn't improved for me since Dox's last release.

The CP is ok on my computer, no delay at all
but the powermizer seems (as the previous driver) not to work on my 8600m gt

I'm starting to get irritated with the constant BSOD, game lock ups and on again off again video/flash acceleration.

I've only tried 258.49 so far from the 25x series. The PowerMizer doesn't work on my card with that driver and I believe those drivers were making my computer overheat. I'm not exactly sure if these drivers will be better.

Yeah, on my desktop my physx card was going full force after I exited a non-physx game until I rebooted. Power Mizer is most certainly not acting how it should. The issues are across both my desktop and notebook system so I know its not just a conflict with one particular type of card and the worst part is one of them is a GTX480 the cards these were written for. I'm switching back to the latest WHQL drivers.

i only overclock when gaming of cause. (500/630 core), (400/455 mem), (1000/1290 shader). I have noticed that in some cases overclocking your Gpu can slow down your os performance, but of cause not games.

Is this Nvidia Notebook 258.69 Beta, or Nvidia Notebook 258.96 Beta. Because the newer one is available through nvidia.

in my dv9533ef & without cooling fan i can go up (650 core) (501mem) and ive been using those clocks the last three years without any issue or performance decrease..the performance only gets better and better thanx to newer drivers, and now that i installed a cooling fan i can go up to(655 core) (535mem) without a single glitch, and only on those new clocks i can run few games at the maximum for example tdu 1440x900 75hz/high/hdr/anti aliasing x0 & pes2010 at the maximum with the world cup patch
