I was using driver Detective today & it showed that I needed "260.89" ...
However C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\260.89\Vista 64-bit\
Doesn't install on my HP with
GeForce GT 230M
However I was able to update all my audio drivers manually
C:\NVIDIA\DisplayDriver\260.89\Vista 64-bit\English\HDAudio

Help?

a) you dont need the 260.89. just because it's the latest, doesn't mean it's the best. as far as i've seen around forums, its a mixed bag. some people hate it, some people love it.

:) if you really want the drivers, you can try downloading them here. http://www.nvidia.co...-driver-uk.html these are the "notebook" version so you may have been trying to install the desktop version.

c) you can always try pulling an old inf from 260.52 or something and changing the first few lines of the inf to have the 260.89 version

I wouldn't bother. For me the scaling is stuck on "NVIDIA Scaling with fixed aspect ratio" I'm sticking to 259.47 for now.
