LV2GO++ v0.1 BETA

Recommended Posts

This is a program designed to modify inf files found in Nvidia driver packages.

It is a simple program and the modification process is extremely efficient and fast.

At present this is in BETA since I require you guys to kindly use this and report back to me.

I have tested this on 275.27 (win7 x64 hybrid optimus) and everything works as should.

Note

Supports - Windows Vista and 7 (32bit and 64bit)

Compatible with nvidia driver 265.xx and above

This program will only install english language files even if you modify international versions of the drivers

How to Use

-Download driver (has to be 265.xx or above)

-Extract downloaded driver

-Open LV2GO++

- Click tool set OS to x64 if you have 64 bit system!

-Browse to driver inf

-click Mody

This program supports hybrid SLI and Hybrid Optimus systems.

It should be noted that some drivers are not 100% compatible with hyrbid optimus systesm - although the drivers will install the FULL functionality of Hybrid Optimus will not work given that such systems require specialised drivers per laptop manufacturer.

You can download the v0.1 BETA from here:

EDIT

Bug found thanks to veritas72

you need to run program in adminstrator mode by browsing to install folder

right click LV2GOAPP and select run as admin!

Next Version

- Add load ini functionality

- Add check for drivers not 100% compatible with hybrid optimus

- Fix any user reported bugs or features

- Add dialog box to adjust D3d and OGl settings once driver is installed

I hope you don't mind me asking a question. My Alienware Area-51 M15x with NVIDIA Geforce 9800M GT was working just find on Win7 64bit until I reinstalled the OS. But after the reinstall device manager says I have a standard VGA adapter. When I try installing a Geforce 9800M GT driver it says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" And when I install ANY other driver, it still shows up in device manager as an NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GT and I still get that error. I'm also getting an error saying I'm not connected to an NVIDIA GPU. I make sure to uninstall the driver before reinstalling it again, I

ve done so many times and even reinstalled Windows 7 hoping it will fix itself.

I am SO sorry for bugging you guys with this but I have searched and asked so many times and get no help or no fix. I'm desperate, all I want to know is if this might help me fix this issue?

its really simple as to why. You laptop make is a switchable graphics type... Alienware/Nvidia officially dropped support for it after 186.xx drivers.

You should contact alienware for support and download the official drivers for your laptop from there website.
