LV2GO++ has come out of BETA status. Thank you for those who tested the BETA and WIP versions of this tool.
I have finished putting finishing touches to this and fixed some very minor bugs since v1.0 BETA2.

EingefĆ¼gtes Bild

What is this?
This tool is written in C++ and is designed to modify desktop quadro and geforce desktop drivers to make it compatible for laptop systems.
This tool is different to Driver Heaven's Mobility Modder in that it has more options tailored for each system type. Such as install options for Hybrid Optimus and Hybrid SLI. The modification process itself is extremely quick compared to Mobility Modder. However this come at a small price: the driver will only install english language in the control panel. The tool modifies .inf files found in Nvidia driver packages. It does not fix bugs associated with the driver only adds compatibility and add settings to force Hybrid SLI and Hybrid Optimus.

This tool only supports Windows Vista and Windows 7

Whats New Since v1.0 BETA2
Some very minor bus fixes. Only major changes are that i added some "resources" to the exe such as file properties and MainWindow icons.

Full Changes:
Spoiler

Supported Cards
Supports Quadro and Mobile GPU from Geforce 2 to GT500 series and quadro equivalent.

Full List:

Hybrid Optimus User Tip
Modify Desktop NVAK.inf file found in official nvidia driver packages for max compatibility!

If you want to get more performance out your system then you can try my other tool (NV3D++) which is found here:

This program fixed the BSOD I was getting with the new drivers. Now I can use the latest driver with no problem! Thank you very much Dox :)

Will this work with Hybrid Graphics? I tried Hybrid Optimus regardless, and it failed. Both intel and nvidia driver running at the same time, and when I try to open the NV control panel, it says my monitor is not connected to the nvidia card or something.

I'm on BenQ S42, 275.33 nvidia 9600M GT, 2303 intel X45

slightly offtopic:
I have the same problem as blindbox probably. I tried your tool with 275.33, but there was no option to use Nvidia all the time in Windows Power Manager. You say there is no support for that. As I understand, with current drivers it is only possible to use Nvidia to run specific application/game and the result is displayed throught Intel GPU? I need to use HDMI port, but it is wired only to Nvidia on my Vostro 3500. The only drivers I found possible to do this are old 189.99 from Dell. Is there any way I can use HDMI with some newer drivers? Thanks.

unfortuantely you will have to stick to official stock dell drivers that come with your system.
Hybrid Optimus is the newer technology of Hybrid Graphics and driver settings are NOT the same.
The reason hybrid Optimus is not working for you is because Hybrid Graphic require different driver settings.
I have experience in the past of this, but it has always been buggy.... could you tell me when you uninstall the nvidia driver does it also uninstall the intel drivers?

If I uninstall Nvidia, the Intel stays in system. I'm using latest Intel drivers from Intel site (not the Dell one).

ok... I MAY upload a new version of this tool to include hybrid graphics option in the future.
Am very busy at the moment and may even move to a mac very soon. So i'm not sure about the future of this tool.
But maybe i will release the source to this.

With hybrid graphics i highly recommend you stick to the dell intel drivers and try and only update the Nvidia one to ensure max compatibility because not all intel and nvidia are compatible - i dont want to go into detail with this as its long!

But in all honesty stick with official dell drivers in the meantime!

Hello Dox. I was checking the supported cards list, and I noticed that it doesn't support the Geforce Go 7200 with the device ID
NVIDIA.DEV_01D6.1 = "NVIDIA GeForce Go 7200"

Given that Geforce Go 6200 is supported, can this card be added to the list?

Thanks

I've try using it on the 28x series drivers and it doesn't work anymore. The patching was fine and it will start installing but after a few sec it will say that the installation failed.

Hi Dox,

recently tried installing Quadro/Tesla Desktop driver 301.42 using your tool.

I download the official driver and extract.
I run your tool as admin and search for my extracted nv_disp.inf.
I select my Os [x64], select standard install [no SLI/Optimus] and hit modify.

on doing so, i get an application crash. the selected .inf for modding is deleted, but your modded L|V2GO++.inf
does not get written back to the extracted Driver directory? nv_disp is the only .inf in the directory.

can you help at all? any ideas...
I attach an image of the appcrash
Thanks

heres the driver:

http://www.nvidia.co...-driver-uk.html

im a complette noob so when I see its x64 i expect a x64 section within the .inf, which there isnt?

only these two:

[Manufacturer]
%NVIDIA_A% = NVIDIA_SetA_Devices,NTx86.6.0,NTx86.6.1
%NVIDIA_B% = NVIDIA_SetB_Devices,NTx86.6.0

[NVIDIA_SetA_Devices.NTx86.6.0]

[NVIDIA_SetA_Devices.NTx86.6.1]

This tool is outdated. Please use official nvidia drivers or stick to Pieters modded inf.
I like to update this someday.
