Use the latest driver in the 28x.xx forum, dowload the modded inf and replace it.

I've managed to go as far as 266.18 using a Sony driver published for the GT330M chip. I don't remember which exactly, but it was a for desktop model with a GT330M.

All nvidia released notebook drivers support the GT 330M in the Vaios.

It worked fine until ver. 260 approx. I don't know why I have experienced system crashes upon installation by using the stock nVidia drivers. So I had to delve into Sony's archive... maybe one of the win updates but I'm not sure.

Use the latest driver in the 28x.xx forum, dowload the modded inf and replace it.

Download the Nvidia 285.38 64-bit beta desktop driver (international version), extract it with 7-zip, and replace the attached "nv_disp" inf file in the Display.Driver folder.

Install the driver by running the setup.exe.

I had made a modded INF for Vaio CW series with GT 230M and GT 330M GPU's with all the OEM settings. Use the attached INF with the 285.38 64-bit Notebook driver.nvszc_CW.zip

what the difference between the desktop version and the oem version ? As it works <ith desktop version, is it better that i use the mobile version ?

The OEM version is more specific to your GPU. You can always the driver which gives you good performance in games. Try both the drivers and let me know.

I have a solution for upgrading the Sony Vaio VPCCW17FX G210M Nvidia driver to 285.62 64bit but I can't get past the captcha to add nvcv.inf as a member so I will explain it here. Download this:

http://www.nvidia.co...hql-driver.html

Unzip it using 7Zip and edit Display.Driver\nvcv.inf with this:

In section:

[NVIDIA_SetA_Devices.NTamd64.6.0]

Add:

%NVIDIA_DEV.0A74.01% = Section033, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0A74&SUBSYS_905E104D

%NVIDIA_DEV.0A74.02% = Section033, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0A74&SUBSYS_905E104D

In section:

[NVIDIA_SetA_Devices.NTamd64.6.1]

Add:

%NVIDIA_DEV.0A74.01% = Section034, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0A74&SUBSYS_905E104D

%NVIDIA_DEV.0A74.02% = Section034, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0A74&SUBSYS_905E104D

In section:

[strings]

Add:

NVIDIA_DEV.0A74.01 = "NVIDIA GeForce G210M"

NVIDIA_DEV.0A74.02 = "NVIDIA GeForce G210M"

If it is not already there.

Then run setup.exe
