How do i overwrite the original inf file? Do i have to change the name of the file? and do i have to overwrite multiple files?

Just copy the modified inf into Display.Driver folder - it usually overwrites a file there. No renaming is needed.

What is the point of the list on the download page that tells you what inf supports your card? My card is listed as supported under nvaa.inf but it keeps downloading and replacing nvwi.inf
