My Nvidia 9600m GT died

(i know i can upgrade it with 3470, 3650, 4570, 4670)

But i read somewhere that i can use the 4650 1gb ddr3 AND 4gb of RAM!

Here are my questions:

What are the complications? BIOS wise?

How much RAM can i use, if i buy a 4650 that has 1gb ddr3.
