eoan
Hi together, i'm not new here, but this is my first post. First of all, thanks to all guys who sharing her experience. I've learned a lot. I have a problem with the new 9600M GS. After starting from usb to install, and the finished bar "... loding files", I get "Starting Windows". So far so good. Then I get following screen: May some of you have seen this already and can help. Thanks. eoan
StefanG3D
Boot in safe mode and try to install =win7x32"]other driver versions.
eoan
There is no System, it's a Win 7 boot usb stick. I think there will be used a standard generic driver with something like 640*480?! May you mean, to modify the driver during the install process? StefanG3D
I assumed that Windows is at least partially installed if you get a message "starting Windows". Usually you can you stop the boot process with F8 and select "safe mode" (abgesicherter Modus). You can also try to boot from a "Linux Live CD" to check if the GPU is working correctly. eoan
@StefanG3D, thanks for your answers. The card i checked already, with a linux live cd. Look's good. I took up your idea with the F8, but during the "...loading the files" with boot stick. I got the menu too, everthing without a installed system. No hdd tryed too. In this way I hang on "Loading ..../drivers/drive.sys". Nothing happens within 10 - 15 seconds, and i get a black screen, no drive led, nothing. Look's like the amilo won't play with windows. Knowing you something about flashing a changed 'Device ID' and/or 'Sub vendor ID' to make the card compatible to win 7 installation? Maybe flashing a other clockrate for thrtl- mode??? StefanG3D
I'm not familar with firmware modding. Another idea, i didn't try myself though: Find the CAB file on the USB drive that contains the Geforce driver Back it up and extract it Modify the INF file with a good text editor like Notepad++ Repack the CAB file with e.g. CABpack Copy the modded CAB to USB drive Disable driver signing in boot menu Try installation again
eoan
Sorry for the late answer. I'm already in holidays, and actually I'm not on site. But I've already tryed it with "RT Seven Lite". I think your answer go deeper. I'll try it, hopefully befor next year. The Mayans have given us more time. ;)
