aznphatb0i
Bump! What is the latest driver package that can be used on the UL80VT-A1 and still have Optimus or Hybrid support? What special steps need to be taken?
LSudlow
As far as I can tell, all the recent NVidia mobile drivers have optimus built in, although it's installed/updated silently. If you extract any of the recent mobile drivers to an empty folder, you'll see the optimus folder is there. So yes, I think you can just install it. LSudlow, the recent NVIDIA drivers obviously have Optimus -- the issue is that the UL80VT is a *hybrid graphics* notebook and not Optimus! There are 'Optimus on Hybrid' sets posted here, so it seems that an Optimus driver will not automatically work / modifications have to be made? However that users post is to the contrary. clayton9610
Sorry to respond to an old post but hopefully this helps someone that still gets use of the Asus Ul80vt. After a few frustrating days I managed to install the Nvidia 341.81 driver with working optimus. I used the 341.81 modded inf from: http://www.komeil.com/blog/nvidia-driver-windows-7-laptop-modded-inf Method: uninstall both Intel and Nvidia drivers, reboot, cleanup with driver fusion or similar, reboot, install Intel driver, reboot, disable Intel, reboot, install Nvidia driver, reboot, enable intel, reboot. I am using the 2869 Intel driver version. Cheers.
ptitpoul
The drivers provided by Microsoft Update at http://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=dev_0a74 work on my ASUS UL80VT. Last November 2018, I installed the latest package provided there: "nVidia - Other hardware - NVIDIA GeForce G210M, Windows 10 Anniversary Update and Later Servicing Drivers, 14/11/2016, 21.21.13.4201", that is Nvidia version 342.01. Installing it also installed the Intel card driver "Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family (Microsoft Corporation - WDDM 1.1)", 11/03/2013, version 8.15.10.2702. To be sure that previous drivers were removed, I used Driver Store Explorer [RAPR].
