mobilenvidia
Merry belated Xmas guys :santa:, hope all went better than ours did with the server You will not believe the last few days with the server. We are back from the brink. I'm pretty sure that we cannot recover the data from Dec 2014 to Dec 2015 The 2nd HDD disk drive in our RAID1 array completely died and unrecoverable A major loss for us. We'll need to rethink how we move ahead into the future. But just glad to at least have what we are left. Watch this space for more updates. Cats4America
I just made an account to say that I really like the site and to keep up the good work! I turned off adblock for laptopvideo2go to show a tiny amount of support. It is really unfortunate that you lost a lot of work but I hope you keep going. Also, you may be able to recover some of your old posts through archive.org by copying and pasting into Wordpress and backdating the posts even though it'll really be annoying to do it that way. https://web.archive.org/web/*/laptopvideo2go.com
Infinity7
Welcome back. I had tried to figure out how to email you and ask what was going on. I hope they have a discount for you on account of losing your data.

That'd be a really big loss. :( Best regards, Andi
hfm
Huh. That sucks, sorry to hear it. Though, if you lose one drive in a RAID1 array you shouldn't lose any data. Or when you said 2nd did you mean they both died one after the other?
mobilenvidia
I have a feeling one drive in the RAID1 array got dropped a year ago Then when the other drive completely died, the machine booted to the dropped drive and we go back a year No use looking back, data gone, but not our spirit
Uberdork
Hey guys, for what it's worth you could try the following: Send an email to EVERY SINGLE MEMBER that has ever registered (although I guess that excludes members subscribed within this last year). Ask them if anybody has kept a mirror of your site. You have nothing to lose. You never know what might come up. In any case, it's really a shame this happened. Merry Christmas. P.S. Please make sure you fix fill in Windows 8 & 10 in the registration form. They are not there. There are also many graphic cards missing. I guess it's due to the server migration?
