This driver is also on Microsoft Update Catalog when I do a search for NVidia GTX 1080, and it shows it there as a Windows 10 driver for me.

It didn't install for me though. My hardware ID not supported. I'm not going to pursue it anymore at the moment.

I made another effort to install this driver and check it out, and this time got it installed ok. (Win 10 Insider build, GTX 1080 desktop card)

I grabbed the driver cab file from Microsoft Update Catalog,

extracted it with 7-Zip (extract archive/cab),

then inserted MobileNVidia's latest inf file found on this site (I didn't try it the first time around)

then booted up in Disable Driver Signature Enforcement mode,

then installed it by the Device Manager/Update Driver/Manually Select/Let Me Pick/Have Disk/ method.

If it fails the first time, and makes the NVidia card stop showing in the Display Adaptor section of Device Manager,

look for it as an unknown device in the Other Devices section of Device Manager (you can verify that's it by the hardware ID),

then do install again right away by Device Manager/Update Driver/Manually Select/Let Me Pick/Have Disk/ method and it will work.

Performance seems like 372.70.

EDIT: I realize now that I also grabbed the dispi cat file from driver 372.70 and threw it into the driver 372.73 files too.

Also I updated the driver number in MobileNvidia's dispi inf file too (for cosmetic reasons only).

Here is a link to the complete driver package I ended up using (as per post above this one).

It is for Windows 10 64-bit.

http://www.mediafire.com/download/yeqb1kx98y8jcbw/NVidia37273.zip

As usual, must post a standard disclaimer: Use at your own risk. NVidia doesn't support using modified drivers like this.

Be sure to read the post above this one.

Must boot up in Disable Driver Signature Enforcement mode, and must do Device Manager/Update Driver/Manually Select/Let Me Pick/Have Disk/ and choose the dispi inf file.
