Linux Nvidia driver support every single Chipset

I am about to install Red Hat Fedora to dual boot with my XP. Well, I was looking at the Linux nVidia drivers and found that they support EVERY SINGLE CHIPSET! I'm talking all desktop chips, all mobile chips and even this "GeForce FX 5900ZT" that I've never heard of and I can't find it on any American site. So, if nVidia can take the time to write mobile chips into their Linux drivers, why can't they write them into their XP drovers?

Kind of a hard response since it's a mere guess.

Linux is an OS to be supported by not by OEM companies and I think they can get away with generalities in Linux drivers. Where as in XP drivers they need specific settings then thorough testing is done by the OEM companies before supplying to the end consumer. Essentially Windows is picky.
