®®®
Found these links in my Favorites (though i'm on XP) ... http://www.janerob.com/rob/ts5100 The interesting part why i bookmarked this page is the detailed information about the Synaptics cPad (http://www.janerob.com/rob/ts5100/cPad/index.shtml) where i hoped to ectract some technical details to let shine the cPad backlight for more than the few seconds under Windows, which is what it normally does. The Linux cPad driver works great so far: In addition to my 5100, users have reported this working on the 5105, 5105-S701, 5105-S901, 5200, 5200-801, 5205, and 5205-S703. Some 5200 folk (but not a -801 user) seem to need ehci (USB2.0) enabled and 'usb proc fs' compiled in. If it works for your machine that's not on this list, please drop me a line. Here are some other links for installing Linux on a Toshiba 5x0x: http://www.buzzard.org.uk/toshiba/ (This is the page where you can get the FAN.exe) http://nicolas.bettenburg.free.fr/linux/#c1 http://www.cwrose.de/toshiba/s5200.html http://akpi.scmd.at/toshiba_extras.php More cPad links for Linux: http://www.bayes.co.uk/toolbox/animgif/anim.htm http://tp2.be/JinX/cPad/dump/
