I say, somethings wrong with your notebook!
I have 11278 points in 3DMark2001 SE, with only 64 MB Video RAM and 512 MB System RAM, without overclocking or tweaking...

What resolution are you running those tests at? Those 01 scores are extremely low.

Those 3DMark2003 scores are pretty low too. I have the exact same computer (Area 51m, P4 3.0, fx go 5700), but with only 512 MB RAM and I get around 3050, with no tweaks or overclocking.

Card is in safe mode :) But well , at least the benchmarks are here to show what driver is the best for this card at the moment and to choose it wisely :)

Ye , my scores are low cause it's with no tweaks and with the last alienware bios ( who put the go5700 card in "safe mode" for less heat ( sounds like underclocked :P ) , i got really better scores when i overclock with that card ( 3Dmark03 : 3432 / 3Dmark05 : 685 ) :(

I use the custom alienware powerstrip ( called alien adrenaline ) :)

But you can use coolbits too ...

Sry for the rather late reply, had a lot of internet access problems.
Anyways

System crashes when runing 3DMark05 somewhere during the 2nd test.
I'll get in to 03 testing somewhere soon (i think it's around 2700 points)
Low scores are probably due to 'stock' drivers (56.70). Modded ones make the system go bluescreen-beeeeeeeeeeep-rattlerattle-windowsxpbootscreen while gaming.

If you are running newer drivers, try the VMR option in the video overlay settings or whatever it is, should fix your video playback problems, you also might have to change some options in your media player(s).

What drivers have you tried?

Well you know where to check for that right?
The Gaming section of course, you'll be sure to find me over there as well.
There are of course pinned topics for Doom3, HL2, ect, but you also probably knew that as well.

The v81.26 driver gives poor image-quality and no temperature-tab in the property-window with my Geforce 5700 Go :)
I do have all the 'coolbits' enabled and image-quality set to quality (and used the modded INF ofcourse) ...

Besides that the shadows in Age of Empires III are also corrupted sometimes which I didn't have with the Omega v1.6693 drivers
I used to have (and which worked great) !

Anyone any ideas ? Or a driver version which one could recommend ?
Guess I'll roll-back to the Omega driver first and trash the v81.26 driver ....

Hi guys , i have a big problem with this video card . I have an Aspire 1711Smi laptop with a Go5700 card and problems with the drivers i think. Anytime i want to play a game i have rendering problems. Any game i play has pixels not rendered well - and i mean many pixels and i dunno what to do cause in windows and anywhere else works fine, only in games i have probles , i tried omega drivers , i have xp sp2 , etc , i think it's a problem with a setting or a physical problem in the worst case.
Thanks
