INPROCOMM IPN2220 Wireless LAN Card

v3.07.02.2005 - as used by TOSHiBA, PACKARD BELL, BENQ, ACER
  • DOWNLOAD (~525kb) for Windows 98, ME, 2000 and Windows XP 32bit & 64bit
  • this is probably the last release ever as INPROCOMM doesn't exist anymore
  • no Setup.exe, INF only install (use "HaveDisk"-method)
  • WHQL, English only (*NOTE*: i added all known SUBSYS_IDs for this device, so the INF obviously no more is WHQL due to this change)
    Now supports:
PCI\VEN_17FE&DEV_2220&SUBSYS_222017FE ; ACER Aspire 1520 INPROCOMM IPN2220 Wireless LAN Card
PCI\VEN_17FE&DEV_2220&SUBSYS_222017FE ; PACKARD BELL A5x INPROCOMM IPN2220 Wireless LAN Card
PCI\VEN_17FE&DEV_2220&SUBSYS_03051468 ; BENQ Joybook S52 INPROCOMM IPN2220 Wireless LAN Card
    PCI\VEN_17FE&DEV_2220&SUBSYS_03101468 ; TOSHiBA L15-S104 INPROCOMM IPN2220 Wireless LAN Card
PCI\VEN_17FE&DEV_2220 ; Generic IEEE 802.11b/g Wireless LAN Card
v3.03.11.2004 - TOSHiBA/PACKARDBELL/BENQ
  • DOWNLOAD (not available anymore) (~287kb) for Windows 2000 and XP (32bit) and *new* XP (AMD64bit)
  • WHQL, English only
  • no Setup.exe, INF only install (use "HaveDisk"-method)
  • Changelog:
    1. It won't Install UI in WinXP. By default, we use XP WZC.
    2. Fix Rx sensitivity issue.
    3. Change PCI_Vendor_Device_ID to 17FE222003101468 from 17FE2220222017FE.
(Foxconn assigned an ID:[03101468] for Toshiba.)
    4. Fix S1/S3 halt issue on Toshiba EW3 notebook PC.
    5.Pass HCT.12 fully test.
  • Supports:

    IPN2220.DeviceDesc          = "INPROCOMM IPN2220 Wireless LAN Card"

    %INPROCOMM.DeviceDesc% = IPN2220.ndi,  PCI\VEN_17FE&DEV_2220&SUBSYS_222017FE    ; INPROCOMM IPN2220 Wireless LAN Card

  • *UPDATE* 13-MAY-2005 the INF for 2K and XP 32bit now supports TOSHiBA, Packard Bell, BenQ and generic models. Also i merged the AMD 64bit version (.SYS has same version number), which was provided by 'Rafael Rivera' over @ www.extended64.com and was only tested on RTM 1830 of XP64bit. You can now enjoy an all-in-one-package :)

Wondering if anybody has been able to make ANY of the available
64 bit windXP drivers work with ndiswrapper on AMD 64 bit Fedora 7.
I have tried two 64 bit winXP drivers for the IPN-2220 -
1 from amd64planet.com and 1 from Toshiba. Nether one was
able to connect with my Netgear wgt624 router
Funny thig is, using the Toshiba driver, I was able to associate
with the SSID - but still unable to get an IP address.
the dhclient would give up and exit after 5 tries.

Using the amd64planet winXP driver, I was not able to associate
with the SSID, let alone get an IP address.

Thanks for the driver v3.07.02.2005
I have an Acer 1670 ( 1673 WLMi ) with IPN2220 wireless LAN card.
After Windows update to XP Service Pack 3 the connection did not work any more.
I download your driver and now everything works well.

Thanks for this, it has meant I haven't had to buy a new network card for my old Toshiba. Works with XP SP3. Fantastic.

Wifi wasn't working on my Acer Aspire 1800, and Acer's website is only offering a 2004 driver that doesn't support WPA. Your driver did the trick. Thanks!
