This morning I got a letter from ATI's Lawyers:

Here is a quick low down (edited) on what they had to say:

It has come to our attention, your Website is only supporting nVidia related mobile products.

With your website name as it stands "Laptopvideo2go" it misleading users to think that the formentioned website is catering to all Mobile Graphics needs.

ATI feels it has been unduely denied access to the support offered.

Lawsuits have been issued in the International courts to stop any further developments of this site.

So all further action relating to only nVidia based products must cease immediatly or futher action will be taken against you and any person(s) involved.

Right I'm too busy with phonecalls to do a full report on this page, you can see the entire letter here

Get ahold of nvidia, im sure their lawyers live for this kind of thing. Screw ATI and screw their scumbag lawyers. Its not any of our faults they make lack luster mobile products(well all products, but im a bit parcial to nividia)

Dont let them push you around, there has to be somthing you guys can do besides rolling over.

Good luck men. :)

FINALLY!!! an April Fools joke!!! I work at an ER and been waiting for one since midnight. YES!!! I expected as much because I saw a similar joke last year on www.ctrlaltdel-online.com where a similar joke was made, and all the legal facts pointed out how it wasnt legal to do that...but hey...it's still freaking hillarious!!!

This one was too easy. :)

You should have said NVIDIA sent a cease and desist letter for hacking drivers and reverse engineering. :)

I cannot access the letter however I am going to bring this to the attention of our local news station here in atlanta as well as Clark Howard and the am news radio affiliate as this is right up their alley!!

On a side note and a massive source of torture for me recently- ATI is on my NEVER BUY AGAIN list already and now with this nonsense, I know I will not lol.

On Disney's Toontown online technical specifications pages ATI is clearly named as the maker of unsuppirted video cards and ATi is the company who makes the video cards in both the IBM and Toshiba Hunter has that he used to be able to play Toontown on and he no longer can play on either computer suppied with ATI Graphics- go after Disney too while your at it attorneys...

I AM A TOTAL MORON, and blonde to boot.

While my best suggestion is to throw that ATI powered laptop in the trash, I will follow up to your PM by PM.

Back to this topic though, the letter link used to go to cleverly hidden (not really hidden but out of the way) topic that said you were april fooled.

Pieter then merged that topic with this one, so the link is no more.

Guess I should fix it to go to Pieter's post. Edit: Done. :)
