VISTA driver release for legacy mobile systems. Includes old nv4_disp.dll and nv4_disp.inf as well as nv4_mini.sys but nothing more.

Seems to be the successor of driver v56.63 (2004) which was the first driver ever including a bunch of OEM INFs.

That's what it looks like :) We need people who test this out. No VISTA here.

Btw. INF version numbering differs with actual file version :)

I could not NVAIO it. Had to manually compress.

Vista 5536 Pre-RC1 is still using 56.73. My guess is that MS/Nvidia will keep this version for old Nvidia Cards and doubt it will ever be updated anymore.

That would solve a lot of questions: I have a GeForce 2 Go what is the best driver for Vista.

I have Geforce4 420 Go 16mb and everytime I go for an updated driver using Windows update I get this same driver.

v56.73

The problem I am having occures with the Black Bar on the right side of my screen, which seems to be the normal occurence lately. I have tried newer drivers and the don't seem to be compatable with my DirectX 9.0c. Anytime I try to download a newer driver my Direct3D Acceleration is not working. I run the test and it keeps shutting down and telling me that I have hit a key and ended the test. I have tried playing games with this driver and was able to play Call of Duty2. Before I even downloaded this driver I was able to play Far Cry. I am thinking that I should be able to run this driver, but I would like to get my full 1024X768 screen back and get rid of the black line.

So, far this driver seems to be good on my system, but I have no inf (that I can find) to download.

So, if anyone has an idea on how to get this driver to work it would be much appreciated. btw, I have tried numerous drivers and this seems to be the newest one that responds well to my DirectX 9.0c. I also, realize this is a pretty old system, but don't have the money right now to get a newer 1. :)

Thanks for your time.
