ciper
It took me quite a bit of work to narrow this down since csrss is a fairly generic process. Is there a misconfiguration that any of you know of already that causes this continual high cpu use? Stopping the service puts my CPU use back at 1%. Restarting it brings back the problem. Windows XP with all latest updates except WMP11 Geforce FX Go 5650 97.92 drivers with optimized inf I would like to use the updated drivers from this site but so far I have unresolved video overlay issues (another thread) and this high cpu usage which don't occur with the old OEM drivers. Thanks for your help Edit: i searched all over the forum and have found at least 4 other people with the same issue but none of them solved it. salzrat
I have the same, it goes away if I kill nvsvc32.dll from the task manager, which is what I do now with no ill effects :)
ciper
I never thought to try that way. I've been doing a "net stop nvsvc" from the start menu run command.
