cosinusx
Installation went ok and increased performance. 165.01 >>> 163.69 (GF8600MGT 512MB/C2D T7100/2G RAM) 2001 - from 17697 to 18509 2003 - from 10073 to 10171 2005 - from 6067 to 6092 2006 - from 3674 to 3749 But under(over)clocking is still not possible :)

Guest Japots
Tried installing it on an hp tx1000z laptop (geforce go 6150). Been using the 158.45 drivers before since it was the most stable one I've tried so far. After installation, windows refuses to boot normally. Haven't tried using have-disk yet, but after close to 2 hours of reinstalling and uninstalling this driver, I think I'll try again some other time. Raphie
I am still not able to select any higher resolution than 1280 * 800 on my 8400m-GS if you look at the supported resolutions at DISPLAY SETTINGS > ADAPTER > List all modes 1280 * 800 is the maximum supported. according to the Nvidia product pages the 8400m should support up to 2560 * 1600 (when connected duallink) or at least 1920 * 1080 (when connected single link) The card does play 1920 * 1080p when connected to a full HD plasma panel. however i am not able to configure this on my Dell 3007HC-wfp

m1rado
Running an 8400M GS on my notebook, can never get these to install... Where do people get modded .inf files so quick? I see people on forums talking about having them way before laptopvideo2go has them up for download, and new drivers are about my last chance to get bioshock and hellgate: london running smoothly... Anyone know where I can get an .inf that'll let me install this one on my laptop? =p

At first you will have the dual split error that you get with any other driver, but pulling the dvi in and out from the laptop will glitch the drivers or something. Took me weeks to figure this out. I am using a Macbook pro 17inch with a 8600m, and a Dell 3007. Running Team Fortress 2 at 1920x1200, and my Desktop for Vista is 2560x1600. If you need more help, just write. Maybe the situation should be the same for your 1280 * 800 laptop screen, but i think that you should be able to activate virtual desktop screen size. Dungeon Master
I was using these drivers and then I tried running Call of Duty 2. The game simply didn't work, it gave an direct3d error and exited back to the desktop. Then I reverted to 158.45 and the game is running again. Can somebody please confirm if it was just me or if COD2 don't work with these drivers? By the way, I have a Go 7600 card

Guest McConnor
Driver runs just fine on 8700M GT 256 MB but also no performance increase. Is it a "modded-driver" related problem that overclocking via Rivatuner is not possible or is that release dependant. Overclocking wont work for me and I have no idea why that might be or if theres a workaround... Any help on this? Greetings from Germany, McConnor
Guest joker
i think 163.44 is the stable driver yet. I get frame rate deduction form this driver (also .67), And, the frame rate does not drop but in the same tested condition on .44, there is a ragging. The frame rate drop is not fixed from .67. Anyone know about this bug?
Guest NUFC
I have an ASUS laptop with a GeForce 8600m GT card, most games including Bioshock run ok, but the one game that runs realy bad is MOH Airborne, every 1-2 seconds if stutters, even on the menu page, has anyone else managed to get MOH Airborne to run ok ? Tankkiller
I got it to run great, but when I moved the motion blur dragged me down to like, 5 FPS. Guest driver Tester
Humm, after i installed this driver my 8600M began working in slow motion, i tried world in conflict demo benchmark on 3 drivers until now, this one, the 165.01, and the old 101 or something that get shipped with my dell inspiron 1520. I get on medium quality, 1024x768 23 FPS in average, on both drivers but this one changed everything, my whole experience, this gamed me like 5FPS, seriously, and i got the right and left side of the screen cropped, strange. I will try the 163.44 now, i hope it will fix things:) I don't recommend this driver for anyone wishing to play WIC.
