illmatic Posted October 11, 2007 Report Share Posted October 11, 2007 This is so frustrating, maybe someone has an idea of how to fix this. Every driver EXCEPT 163.44 gives me this weird choppy lag with Window Animation when I have Windows Aero on. Like imagine Animation is on, and you open Internet Explorer and it the window opens, the animation is choppy. However, with the 163.44, it's smoooth as hell and NEVER gets choppy, the other drivers I've used (156.65, 156.66, 163.71, 163.69, etc) they all have the choppy animation. (I still have 163.69 for Vista 32bit on my Toshiba notebook) Is it just not possible to overclock with these drivers or is there a way to do that? Should I install 163.75? Pls help! tekdemon Posted October 14, 2007 Report Share Posted October 14, 2007 I've been going nuts since whenever I try to turn on itunes my screen will flicker and coverflow always runs at a crawl (I mean a horrible crawl, if I click full screen mode it'll go bonkers for like 10 seconds). And I'm running a 8400M GS...this is pretty awful performance =( Anyways, this driver seemed to reduce the flickering and this other weird itunes bug (where the whole itunes turns black on startup), but coverflow is still awfully slow. All the games that worked before still works but a little better. And the games that did not work before still not work. Bioshcock works great..
