Raphie
Worthy successor of the 156.66 driver on my XPS-M1330, everything works incl. sleep/hibernation with the NVdispd.inf

Guest sirandrew214
I got an Toshiba x200, with 8700m GT gpu, which is listed in the original inf, but when I try to install, i get an error-message that this driver is not suitable for my gpu??? Strange. I then tried to put the updated inf from another release, 156.72 in, but then I got BSOD... So now im stuck in safety-mode, and wondering what the h... happened? :) maybe it is so that I have to install the ORIGINAL drivers, and then try to install this new, 156.73 on top of that? Instead of trying to install on top of another modded driver?? regards.
StaFForD
did you take the inf out of the inf file, cause there are two of them and in a seperate file in the driver folder, also make sure you have the right inf for you in the folder
Nuggstein
Are these overclockable? Right now I'm running modded 163.69 desktop drivers for my 8600M GT. Am I better off installing the real mobile 156.73 drivers?
Guest Sirandrew214
Tnx Stafford. I discovered it myself, when I checked the folder. The original INFs was in a zip-file, so I extracted them, and replaced the one who was there already, and Voila, now it works. It seems faster than the other I tried, but havent done any extensive testing about it. Looks stable tho. :) regards
Guest Guest
anyone tested these again the other rather new 167.26 drivers? which also seems to have overclocking working and performance boosts for many.
Guest Pedroshin
Would you recommend using these instead of modded latest drivers?
pro101
I have the 156.66 installed and when trying to upgrade to this one, it says "there is no driver that is compatible with your hardware" and it exits the install. Same for the 167.x series. Why? I have the Nvidia 570M which is explicitly called out as a supported card in this list. Any workaround? Guest gaervern
I have a feeling that I will stick to this driver for a long time. Installation and operation so far has been very smooth on my Dell 9400 with go7900gs, and stability is what I care most about. Go ahead an try out beta-drivers if you need extra boost and feel lucky. 156.72 was also stable. However, the control panel was buggy probably due to the modded inf v.3.232 (did not recognize displays correctly in dual mode, had to save settings every time the page for multiple displays was opened etc). The original inf in the zip-file following this one solved those problems, as did the 156.66 with original inf.
Keith
This driver installed very smoothly (once I'd moved the .infs from the .zip to the install directory, Pro101), and works fine. No issues with resume from sleep (unlike 156.57) and nets me the same rating score on vista... except.... If I put the computer under iTunes load (25 gig iTunes library) while I do the assessment, I drop down .2, whereas previous drivers didn't mind the extra load at all. I predict these aren't going to like games as much as some previous versions, and I'm thinking of trying the 167.27 drivers as mentioned below, and reporting back on the difference in assessment there. Still, a good fall back if all else goes wrong, due to not even needing a different .inf, and driver certification. K

rolloLG
Work VERY well on my Compaq/HP Presario F500EA with GeForce GO 6100! Now I can even change video settings for movies playback (gamma, colors etc.) without altering the whole screen settings. Very good!
kelmo
Drivers work relatively well, however, I encounter a few bugs when running 720p @ 60 Hz hooked up to my 42" plasma via DVI. In Dual monitor view, image will only show on my laptop. When DVI only is selected, the image will show on my plasma but the screen will reset itself in irregular intervals. I.e. after 30 seconds, the screen will go blank for a fraction of a second and then reappear. I think that is must be a small tweak or setting, does anyone have a suggestions to point me in the right direction? PC: Toshiba P105-S9339 Graphics: Geforce Go 7900 GS Plasma: Philips 42PF9954 Thanks and regards, Kelmo
