Guest Guest
is there any advantage using this driver over the 169.01 for a 8600Gt?
Viper114
There are rumors saying that these drivers are supposed to increase Crysis' performance even moreso than the 169.01 drivers. I don't know for sure, I can't check right now as I'm posting this. I'll probably give them a whirl later and see what happens with Crysis. ®®®
I heard from a friend of a friend of a tweaker that these (XP only) increase Bioshock performance by factor 2. All these rumors even though the drivers are out only today a couple of hours ago with no proper, quotable benchmarks and driver comparison in sight. Did you read the changelog? Viper114
Some people have said that these drivers plus the recently released Nov 2007 DirectX update gave a good boost in performance for the Crysis SP Demo. I'll give these a whirl and report back.
