anothermike69
Modded .ini not up yet... mmmm Fix? :) I'm just going to walk away from my laptop for an hour or so and hopefully the .ini will be up by then... I'm far too lazy to reinstall and then uninstall any other drivers... Soon as I get these bad boys installed I will let you guys know about performance/IQ on Oblivion and TF2. The-Monk
This works great for me on my 7800 Go GTX. You dont need a modded inf they install from setup file and they give slightly better performance in Unreal Tournament
M_P_E
For me too. Don't understand why Nvidia isn't hosting these drivers on they site.
Guest paulmac
Just tried these on my system, 3DMark05 went from 8504 to 2462, that SUCKS!!!! Crysis is unplayable now too, wasn't too bad before (uninstalled, restarted safemode, ran Driversweeper, restarted, installed drivers) My System is a Toshiba P100 with Go 7900 GTX 512Mb, running XpSp2, previous driver was 163.16 (i think) I just don't get why Nvidia can't release a decent mobile driver!!!! Anyway, Happy Christmas everyone :) Must get around to registering one day too!!
Guest sebic_ro
I will do some comparison checks on my Dell 1520 Inspiron 1,5 Core2Duo, 1Gb Ram with NB8M-GS 128Mb between 156.87, 156.83 (Dell), 169.28 and 169.17 in 3DMark06 v1.1.0 build oct07 default and maxed out, but with no OC. I have a question witch I hope somebody can answer here. Is NB8M-GS a 8400mGS card? (It's not 8600mGT right? I can't find any real reference to equivalence on the Internet between NB8M-GS and 8400mGS or 8600mGT or 8600mGS). Is it possible I updated my BIOS from Dell support site and now my GPU is not recognised as a 8600m but as a 8400m? Hope these make S-Video output work. None of the other drivers worked. Cheerio. M_P_E
This is a little bit curious because i have a performance increase with these drivers in 3DMark05 more than 200 Points. Very strange.
Sebi
Ok. The test results: 156.87 - 1327 3Dmarks 156.82 - 1322 3Dmarks 169.28 - 1425 3Dmarks 169.17 - 1433 3Dmarks tested in COD4 and I got a boost in FPS, about 10, with the same settings I had with 169.28. Odd. S-Video DOES NOT Work for me on either of these. Anybody got drivers that make S-Video work so I can test them 2. Maybe my laptop is flawed. 156.66 - 1181 3Dmarks 167.26 - 1446 3Dmarks 169.09 - 1435 3Dmarks 169.04 - 1445 3Dmarks Edited December 25, 2007 by Sebi
ZaluRagar
Just wanted to add that I've had some horrible problems trying to run Crysis with this driver on a Nvidia GeForce Go 7600. The video becomes so dark you cannot see anything, everything flickers and/or becomes transparent, and the game becomes unplayable. Edit: Wanted to say that every other game runs fine, don't let this comment keep you from trying the driver. It seems to work very well, it's mainly the games problem, not the driver. Lonelobo
I have installed this driver version the day it was uploaded. Had 156.80 before, no problems, all my games run better, loading times (the witcher) has been redused, no more framedrops in crysis(high setings). I have found no problems on my laptop. You need no modded inf. Edited December 27, 2007 by Lonelobo
ZaluRagar
I'm using the modded INF listed in the first post, and I'm starting to notice some other problems if I play games for an extended period of time. Framerate starts dropping, and random glitches start appearing on the screen. Temperature also heats up significantly. Think using the non-modded INF would help with that? Or have you noticed similar problems?
M_P_E
Yes i'm using the original inf and for me it works correctly. Think the modded inf has quit some bugs.
