The driver is working very well (since 3 days). Under Windows it seems a little faster than the v 174.33. Therefor the gpu-temp seems higher - the fan runs more often.

If I could manage to stop my laptop getting too hot I'd definately go for these. Huge increase in performance, just downclocks when I hit 94C on the GPU, which is most of the time whilst gaming.

Wow, will these be WHQL for my Dell XPS 1710, or just for Clevo systems? I have a 7950GTX Go so I guess it will work.

Unless Dell releases them, no, as soon as you change the inf file (or any file in the installation folder) you break the WHQL "seal" and are therefore no longer WHQL certified. WHQL (Windows Hardware Quality Labs) is nothing more than an "approval" that it has passed testing in a MS lab. Nothing special.

why can i install the driver??? windows says: nVidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit.

but i have a geforce 8600m gt (acer aspire 5920g)! it shoud be compatible with the card?! Need i a modded inf? I've Win Vista 32 Bit (sp1)

Yes you need the modded INF as the original INF is subsys'd and only usable for CLEVO laptops.

You can use one from the other 174 series drivers. Try the one from 174.93.

I guess because you didn#t download the modded INF. It's not available for this particular driver as this driver got redundant and more recent version are avaialble here. Just use a more recent version which comes with a modded INF.
