Timboj
I'm suitably impressed. In Vantage, I went from P5922 and X2098 (174.74) to P6292 and X2629. That's with no overclocking and (obviously) no physX enabled. That's a pretty big difference. I had a lot of problems with various drivers between the two and ended up settling on 174.31 for stability, but less performance. Very impressed, I'm yet to run 3Dmark 06, but I'd be very surprised not to see at least a slight improvement there. The best I'd managed with 06 was 11886 and that was back on the 167.55 drivers... boo. I shouldn't hold my breath, but can't wait for physX abilities... Dell M1730 XPS T9500 2.6GHz 8800M GTX SLI (No overclocking) 4096MB DDRII 667 Good times...
Prasad007
Probably a stupid question: Does this driver support PhysX as 177.39 does ?
XI Powza IX
Excelent drivers, recomend these for the people using 8600GT. Got a score of 4407 on 3DMark06 with MacBook Pro MacBook Pro 15" Glossy | 2.5GHz Penryn | 4GB Ram | 8600GT 512MB | 200GB 7200RPM HDD Edited June 28, 2008 by XI Powza IX

Garandhero
scores dropped from 8897 to 8627 with this driver on 8800M GTX.... not sure why but that sorta sucks.
Xenokira
my 3DMark Vantage score went down from 6629 (177.39) to 6577 (177.41). Not a big degradation in score, but it's still there. My Desktop: Core 2 Duo E8400, 8GB DDR2-800, 8800GT, Vista x64.

Guest bennyb0y
All of the 177.41 if files have the old 8800M GTS problem with them again: %NVIDIA_G92.DEV_0609.1% = mobile,nv_NV3x, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0609 Should be: %NVIDIA_G92.DEV_0609.1% = mobile_nv_NV3x, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0609
Nazzo
This driver increase the temp of my Nvidia (SLI) in 4º. All the games run smooth less Race Driver: GRID. Physx 8.06.12 installed and activated. Back to 169.55 (original of Dell) and temp decrease 4-5º. Now the games run smooth but less fps (3-7). SlimShady
I went from a 3dmark score of 6452 to 6497 with this driver. Seemed to run well on Crysis and COD2 & 4 although I didn't take any Temp measurements with it.

That's about the same score I was getting on everything bar the old 167.55 drivers. Crysis runs a tad smoother too. Overall, I'm really liking these drivers. I'll be keeping them til something better comes along.
Guest Synergy6
Is this a CUDA driver, like 177.35?
Timboj
My understanding is that this is a CUDA driver. I'd be surprised if any driver from now on doesn't have CUDA/PhysX included. Another update for anyone with a Dell M1730... This one's a kicker. I get BSOD when trying to play DVD's with PowerDVD and a hefty crash/recovery when using Media Player for the same thing. This is REALLY irritating as this driver has given me the best performance for games so far. COD 4 full detail @ 1920 X 1200 flies. Company of Heroes is smoother than ever. Hope this is useful to someone. Edited July 4, 2008 by Timboj

Phnx
This release (and probably all 177.xx releases, I haven't tried the others) seems to have the old 8800M GTX underclocking issue back! My 8800 permanently runs at 275MHz core/301MHz memory... (Don't tell me it's powermizer, it's a bug that was present in a whole run of drivers through 167/169/174/175 series' and was fixed.) Sry but i have to say that it is really the powermizer. my 8600gt had the same problem an after a bunch of tweaking the powermizer settings in the registry i got my old clocks back and they switch correct between ac and battery mode and ofcourse the few energy saving profiles of asus. if you want to know how i changed the setting in the registry, send me an pn then i will send you an screenshot of my settings :) mfg Agressor

Boost_
This driver constantly crashes on my 9800GTX KO [desktop]. I get a lot of in game artifacts in COD4. I'll have to go back to a non-PhysX driver since this seems to be the case with all off them. This driver seems to be working fine for my 8800M GTS on my laptop. But PhysX is not enabled.
