chefdeez
Im trying out the new 77.70 driver with petiers inf. installs fine, plays BF2 and my other games well, but I found out today at work when booting up on batteries the vid card doesnt like that at all. garbled, blurred pixelled screen and locks up. I get home boot up on power and viola no problem....... then i switch to batteries and same thing screen goes crazy, blinks on and off then locks up. restart on power and everything is cool again. I checked my vaio power settings everything is set for max performance running on batteries. Also with this driver I dont have the powermizer slider bars in my nvidia display. video will play but only with vmr enabled. can this be fixed? i like to play games at home but on occassion I do need my laptop away from the house. anyone using these drivers with a go5600fx? Bill
I'm sure there will be news soon, do you have access to any other INFs for these drivers to try? (instead of Pieter's) It might just be a driver bug that might not be fixable. You have the latest BIOS for your MOBO and latest firmware for your card too right? What all drivers does this happen to? All drivers above 75.xx? Have you tried that 80.40 driver yet? Edit: Told ya there would be news, Pieter seems to have fixed his INFs, give the new ones a try. :) Edited July 15, 2005 by Bill
mobilenvidia
Try v30.75 of my INFs. I somehow ended up with powermizer settings in my INFs I can't remember why I would have added them (as I'm very fussy in that section). But they are gone now. Give it a try as this may also fix the problem (seeing the settings are battery related) I've got v30.75 up for 77.70/72 and 80.
