  1. Hey everyone, I am having quite a difficult time installing driver 285.62 for my 330M. I also tried 285.67. I have hybrid power technology (can switch between two graphics cards) which might be the reason for the stuggle. I followed the installation guide, but seem to be doing something wrong, as the driver with the modded .inf is still not installing properly. Can anyone help guide me through this as I need to update my year old drivers. Thanks in advance for the help!
  2. You can now download the 296.17 driver directly from NVidia rather than getting it off of Windows Updates as a cab file but NVidia still says that this driver is only for Windows 8 Consumer Preview, not for Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8 Developer Preview. Link to the download: http://www.nvidia.co...aspx?lang=en-us NVidia says that the 296.10 driver is the equivalent to the 296.17 driver and in my performance comparison tests they came out the same. If you're on Windows Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8 DP better just use the 296.10 driver.

  4. This is the official launch driver for GeForce GTX 680 – the fastest, most efficient GPU ever built. Explore GeForce GTX 680 and its new SMX architecture on GeForce.com. GeForce R300 drivers introduce several new industry-leading gaming features and will be released using versions 300.xx to 301.xx. New Feature Summary: NVIDIA GPU Boost Technology – dynamically maximizes clock speeds based on workload of the game to push performance to new levels and bring out the best in every game. Learn more on GeForce.com. NVIDIA FXAA Technology – shader-based anti-aliasing technology available from the NVIDIA Control Panel that enables ultra-fast anti-aliasing in hundreds of PC games. FXAA delivers similar quality to 4x multi-sample antialiasing (MSAA) but is up to 60% faster, enabling substantially higher performance in games. Note: This feature is disabled for games already have built-in support for FXAA. Visit GeForce.com to learn more. NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync – dynamically enables vertical sync based on your current frame rates for the smoothest gaming experience. Visit GeForce.com to learn more. NVIDIA Frame Rate Target – dynamically adjusts frame rate to a user specified target. Support for this feature is enabled via third party applications via NVAPI. Visit GeForce.com to learn more. NVIDIA 3D Vision Surround Technology – with a single GeForce GTX 680 you can expand your PC games across three displays in full stereoscopic 3D for the ultimate “inside the game” experience. NVIDIA Surround also supports triple screen gaming with non-3D Vision monitors. Visit GeForce.com to learn more. New Surround features: Add in a fourth accessory display to get access to your email, web, or other applications while you game. Maximize an application to a single physical display when in Surround mode (enabled by default). Confine the Windows Taskbar to the center display (enabled by default). Enable bezel peeking – a feature which enables users to temporarily ‘peak’ behind the monitor bezels using a hotkey (Ctrl + Alt + B). This feature is designed to be used in conjunction with bezel corrected resolutions. Enables users to add or remove resolutions from the list of Surround resolutions (only those selected will be available to applications). Enables full center display acceleration for single wide display modes (center display must be connected to the master GPU). NVIDIA NVENC Support – adds support for the new hardware-based H.264 video encoder in GeForce GTX 680, providing up to 4x faster encoding performance while consuming less power. Other Details Installs PhysX System Software v9.12.0213. Installs HD Audio v1.3.12.0. Supports OpenGL 4.2 Supports DisplayPort 1.2 for GeForce GTX 680. Supports multiple languages and APIs for GPU computing: CUDA C, CUDA C++, CUDA Fortran, OpenCL, DirectCompute, and Microsoft C++ AMP. Supports single GPU and NVIDIA SLI technology on DirectX 9, DirectX 10, DirectX 11, and OpenGL, including 3-way SLI and SLI support on SLI-certified Intel and AMD motherboards.

  6. The 64-bit Windows 8 NVidia 296.17 driver for my GTX 580 card off Windows Updates has changed today. I already had the driver installed but today Windows Updates wanted to update it. We'll have to investigate to see if we can tell what changed. When it first came out it was an Optional Update with driver ID 200000362 located here: http://fg.v4.download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/driver/drvs/2012/03/200000362_07dfffc4d95b942cc145cda2275ad422c9207b5c.cab Today it is an Important Update with driver ID 4915 and is about 1MB larger in size located here: http://fg.v4.download.windowsupdate.com/msdownload/update/driver/drvs/2012/03/4915_93218e8fc76289f99775e6f9a5c9cb7cbfb982b3.cab The update may be specific for certain models of cards so if you don't want to get it by the Windows Updates in Windows 8 you may want to check the Microsoft Update Catalog here: http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/home.aspx

  8. [This, including the title, has been c&p'd from my post over at the Intel forum] When attempting to install on my x64 Win7 laptop, the 14.2.0.[1]0 ProSet software and driver bundle seems to be missing the inf for the 4956AGN chipset, although it's stated to be for this hardware. The result is, that the ProSet software installs and leaves whichever driver you had installed previously. This can cause varying incompatibilities between the two. The alternative standalone driver-only package simply doesn't install, and choosing the "let me choose from a list of drivers" option shows that the 4965AGN is not listed. I tried removing the 13.x driver that it kept from the previous package installation but, upon attempting the 14.x package install again, Windows simply reverted to the 12.x driver which it pulled from its own driver store. I'd like to add that I've now used the Intel Driver Update Utility, which diagnosed that my driver was 12.x and pointed me to the same package I'd already downloaded; which I did, and attempted to install, with exactly the same results - the software installs yet not the driver. There are no errors or indication of this except later, when the incompatibility between the 14.x software and 12.x driver (which remains; installed by Windows) prevents connection to profiles. ---------- Note: In the end I reverted to v13.5 but my profiles are messed up, and I have to type the network key every time I want to connect, and also none of the software components work, and they're not repairable via the installation package.
  9. I have been looking for the above mentioned driver with no luck. Could you recommend or point out to the latest Win7 driver for the old Geforce Go 6800? Thanks

    GT540M Vista Treiber

MFG Anakin94 System Info!
