TZer0
I got a new laptop with GeForce 7600 go 512 mb, 2 gb ram, intel core duo T2500 2x2,16 ghz. Everything I've tried so far works fine, except Battefield 2 at high detail, any resolution. I get weird tectures covering my screen, missing objects and wrong colouring. What bothers me the most, is that the game isn't lagging at all. The error pictures: 800x600 high detail nv4_disp.inf 1024x768 high detail My current driver is 71.89, a driver that came with my PC (Nvidia driver). I've tried several different drivers, new ones from Nvidia (untill I understood that these didn't work) and older ones, that didn't detect my gfx card. Finally, after several attempts I gave up and used the driver that came with the computer (had a backup CD). Can anyone help me getting the correct driver? Thank you. Fabrice Roux
The drivers at nVidia are made for DESKTOP GPUs. You need a driver update but since Battlefield 2 is so painfull (read badly programmed) it might not solve all your issues. Head over to the driver 84.25 page. Since you don't know mobile GPU I advise you to read the Quickstart Guide that will explain the install procedure. TZer0
Can someone please determine what driver I need? Remember: GeForce 7600 Go
sloejack
I have the same card except in an HP laptop. I'm not sure how custom the vendor supplied drivers are but you might try getting the 84.54 driver from the hp driver support site (search for: nvidia go 7600). I play EQ2 and Battlefield2 on my laptop without issue.

Fabrice Roux
Battlefield 2 is not a reference for quality at all... the last patch weights like 550Mb on the scale.
rushrtr3
I also have the Geforce go 7600 with my HP dv8000t laptop and I can't seem to be able to run BF2. What settings did you guys use and what drivers. Did you have to do any mods or anything? I would like to get this game running.
TZer0
I got a new theory... It's the sound-driver, as I set my sound quality to low, the game seemed to be working better, gonna update it and tell you what happened. :)

So it seems like somebody should contact Zepto... Talked to a zepto man in the notebookreview.com forums, says its actually a poblem with the 512mb versions of the 7600. They, zepto, have informed nvidia of the problems and want them to fix it, but in the meantime are working on a bios update to allow the card to function as a 256 card for those of us who want to temporarily fix the problem... or so i understand. They are aware of the problem, and are at least making some efforts to resolve it.
Draconis77
My brother in law just bought an HP dv8000 with a 256mb 7600 go and it is having the same problem. Strange lines appear in 3D games. It does it in any games he plays, not just Battlefield 2.

I bought a dv8330us and everytime I try to start a 3d game like EQ2, I get a BSOD with a DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR EQUAL error. Doesn't even show up in sys logs. Anyone else hear of this? Cause of this kind of issue can be: - wrong driver (try 84.25) - bad memory (run a memtest) - USB periphals (you have no idea how those crappy little thingies can hurt a PC) - bad game programming (run a couple of 3DMark 2003 on your PC, as a performance benchmark it SUUUCKs donkey nads. But as a stability benchmark it's pretty efficient)
