Dual Core support enabled?

Question: Is your notebook correctly configured in Windows XP to support Dual Cores???

I found this post where someone explains how to unlock or how to check if your two cpu´s are unlocked.

I configured my laptop like it was explained in the post and I gained performance about 10%. :)

I checked it out on my notebook, but there isn't such line in my reg (with regedit)... How come??

Iget about a 6% increase in performance with my merom using this Hot fix :)

Result here look for 7zip test.
