Guest Guest
Vista 5472On my Sager 9860 (Clevo D900T), it automatically installs the Nvidia drivers with the correct resolution. The drivers are built into the install so I don't have to install them later using Windows Update. The driver version is 95.61 and Aero Glass is on by default. But there is no Control Panel. ******************************* edit: Larry, can you provide the file? ******************************* The drivers are built into the DVD. If you can tell me which files to copy once it's installed then I can get them. I see drivers in the Driver Store but all the Nvidia ones add up to 91MB. See attachmnet I'm not a pro but normaly it's nv4_disp.inf on the top of the list. I really need this driver. Thx :)

See attachmnet Looks like like VISTA brings drivers for all mobile needs. The list of OEM INFs is amazing. Try using Yousendit.com It's reliable, fast, easy, no login/register crap. We would need all archives (it seems to me like archives from the attachment pictures)

Computer Potato
I'm not sure if the PM I sent to ®®® was actually sent as I can't find it under My Controls. So if I don't get a reply by tomorrow, I will post the link to the big archive. I will also post a link to a smaller file that will be more usefull to most people since the main files are duplicated for each OEM. I looked at the *.inf's and most are limited to a few cards. Fabrice Roux
The driver is 99% UDA so making it work on other GPU won't be such a problem. :)
Computer Potato
Ok here is the full archive 35MB in *.zip format - 6 days or 100 Downloads left Here is a smaller file putting all the stuff into one folder and getting rid of the duplicate files - 5MB in *.zip format. 7 Days or 100 Downloads. You will have to do a manual install using one of the *.inf files. The nv_disp.inf is the desktop version as far as I can tell. The others are mobile OEM *.inf and I don't have a list of what the 2 characters OEM's stand far.

Fabrice Roux
Only one question for me : does this driver work with Amilo m3438 and its GO 6800 (no code 43 error) ? Out of the box this driver won't install on your Siemens. You'll need to modify the INF file to do so.
®®®
What about downloading Pieter's mobile INF :) It will be available soon.
Fabrice Roux
He is probably sleeping tight right now... I would call him but I only have free phone calls to Australia. The best way is to remove the Subsys from the Dell mobile INF. The attached file would do the trick. (removed for clarity reasons)
®®®
Too much INFs from various people will result in a mess. Lets just wait for Pieter's. People *should* have the patience :) ( not that i dislike your will to help, Fabrice :) )

I know that I must modify the inf. But even with that I had (like many people) code 43 error with previous drivers. Can someone with a FS M3438 say to me if this driver works on his machine ? Computer Potato
No problem. I'm not sure if there will be another release before RC1. But now I know where to look if the drivers are included.

Guest rp
Only one question for me : does this driver work with Amilo m3438 and its GO 6800 (no code 43 error) ?Thanks No, it does not. I tried the modded and unmodded infs available 'til now (incl. the one by mobilenvidia from today). They all will install but not work, 'cause of "code 43". Well, I fell back to the 72.30 witch is provided by MS via update. I'm hoping that someday the final solution will come up.

Guest Guest
Hmm, got a "Code 43"-Error in the device manager (GeForce 6800 Go).
Guest Guest
No, it does not. I tried the modded and unmodded infs available 'til now (incl. the one by mobilenvidia from today). They all will install but not work, 'cause of "code 43".Well, I fell back to the 72.30 witch is provided by MS via update. I'm hoping that someday the final solution will come up. So bad drivers, like others. Is Nvidia aware of this issue ? Because there are other GPU models concerned, not only the GO 6800 on FS Amilo. Could bite my own arse because I bought a nvidia-gpu. :)
Fabrice Roux
What is wrong with those people... Vista is not even close to be release and they cry because it doesn't support their hardware for the fancy pointless new shiny graphic mode. In my desktop computer I have a soundcard that is not even supported yet... it's a VERY RARE soundcard called Soundblaster Audigy 1.
Guest rp
rp, can you provide a link or upload v72.30 for VISTA? Sorry, I don't know if there's a direct link to the v72.30. I usually use the Windows Update from VISTA. Maybe you have to initiate the check manually. But for this driver hold in mind: it is a XP driver. So neighter aero glass and all the fine stuff nor direct x 9 will work.

Well, at one side we both are unanimous, concerning drivers for unreleased os. There shouldn't be any reason to cry. But at another side it would be good to have drivers to have those graphic gimicks... thinking in terms of serious testing of a system. And even for this reason MS offers the beta program and not to show potential buyers how wonderful the new graphics looks...
