P4Power
I decided yesterday that I would hook my new XPS M1210 to my 20.1" LCD and have it output a DVD on that screen. Well, I enabled DualView and everything was fine except it would not allow me to set the color depth higher than 16-bit at 1600x1200 on the LCD. I ended up creating a custom resolution with 32-bit color depth and it ran crystal clear without issue. There is no reason why it should not have showed that option, it has 64MB of on-board RAM, which is more than enough. Hell, even my old Go5600 ran this display fine. Do you think this was just a driver issue?
Fabrice Roux
Unless your screen is reporting wrong information to the graphic card... your issue is probably driver related. Did you boot your laptop with the screen connected? Specs of your Samsung 204b screen. If you don't already have it try the official Dell driver 84.69.
