Guest Steve
the current driver i have for my nvidia geforce 7800 gs card is the one that came with it when i bought it about 6 months ago, since then i have been trying to find and updated driver seeing as i have had several people tell me that i need one. the nvidia site has no driver listed for the 7800 gs, it does for the go 7800, but i've tried this driver and it does not work, i have tried all of the drivers listed on this site that are for my card, but none of them seem to work eithor. could this be a hardware issue since i built my own pc? or possibly something else? i am at my wits end and have run out of places to look. any suggestions would be much appreciated. P4Power
Just go here. Since this is a desktop card, every one of NVIDIA's drivers should support it. I use 91.33 from LV2G with the modded inf with my 7800 GS and have no problems whatsoever. Just in case you don't know the procedure for modding drivers on LV2G: you download the driver from this website and then download the .inf file that is with it, then unzip the driver and put the inf in that folder then install it. mobilenvidia
Your GPU's is supported in all modern modded INFs Are you replacing the original INF that comes with driver with the modded INF also supplied here ?
nick_danger
Would this be the same card as a "Go 7800" non-GTX? That's what I have in my e1705 and none of nVidia's mobile 7-series drivers recognize it... This may be unrelated, but my screen won't shut off when I close the lid like it did when I was using the Dell drivers, is there a hack to get that feature back on without using Dell drivers? Thanks! mobilenvidia
Nvidia's mobile drivers support Clevo based machines, not Dell, that is why your GPU is being recognised. Just grab an INF from here and replace original INF then install
