Inspiron 9300/6800GO/84.30

Hello,

My first issue is that if I try to upgrade my drivers to anything newer....When I reboot, I cannot get into windows, I always end up with a BSOD.

Second issue is that if I close my lid, when I re-open it appears as if the desktop was in 800x600 or something...all the icons re-arrange and I see the box flash.

Thoughts?

Are you using the official 84.30 from Dell website?

With the same hardware and same video card and official 84.30 when I close my lid, the computer goes in STR/S3 mode... and wakes up perfectly when I reopen the lid. So it might be an issue with a service, a driver or a resident program... I don't want to point fingers but *looking in the USB direction*

Why on earth do you want to upgrade your driver? Feature wise there is little to nothing new worth the upgrade.

I like the updated Control Panel.

And yes, official driver.
