Guest Jack Dash
My 7900go is now called Quadro NVS 510M in the Nvidea Controll panel. Plz tell me is this a know issue ?
Fabrice Roux
The weirdest thing is that there is NO "Quadro NVS 510M" in the modded INF. Are you using an INF from here or from an exotic website? Like NGO...
Guest Jack Dash
Yes I downloaded the driver and the inf from Laptop video 2 Go.
mobilenvidia
Can you attach the INF back into this thread ? I'm not sure the INF I included above is getting installed. As Fabrice has said, there is no Quadro NVS 510M (well that we know of anyway) The control panel reads the Video BIOS for the PCI-ID and then displays this. So no matter what you install your go7900 as it will always show as a go7900 in the control panl. A different matterin the system properties where you can fool this into think a different device is installed. Did you/(are you) ever using a Geforce to Quadro converter, this will attempt to fool the Control panel to think a Quadro is installed. Guest Jack Dash
I never used a converter or such a thing. I attached the inf file and I hope it will help. Gl and cu nv4_disp.inf
Fabrice Roux
What is the name of the GPU when it's detected during the installation? Is the GPU detected as Quadro NVS 510M during the install too or only in the GeForce panel? Because there is still no Quadro NVS 510M in this INF file. Mobile Quadro NVS: NVIDIA_G72.DEV_01DA.1 = "NVIDIA Quadro NVS 110M" NVIDIA_G72.DEV_01DB.1 = "NVIDIA Quadro NVS 120M" NVIDIA_G73.DEV_039A.1 = "NVIDIA Quadro NVS 300M" NVIDIA_C51.DEV_0245.1 = "NVIDIA Quadro NVS 210S / NVIDIA GeForce 6150LE" Desktop Quadro NVS: NVIDIA_NV17.DEV_017A.1 = "NVIDIA Quadro NVS" NVIDIA_NV18.DEV_018A.1 = "NVIDIA Quadro NVS 280 SD" NVIDIA_NV18.DEV_018C.1 = "NVIDIA Quadro NVS 50 PCI" NVIDIA_NV34.DEV_032A.1 = "NVIDIA Quadro NVS 55/280 PCI" NVIDIA_NV43.DEV_014A.1 = "NVIDIA Quadro NVS 440" NVIDIA_NV44.DEV_0165.1 = "NVIDIA Quadro NVS 285"

mobilenvidia
Here you go ! :) That is really uncanny :) Try 91.38, I've just uploaded it. It looks to be a driver control panel problem. Also the NVS 510M must becoming out soon
Fabrice Roux
Also the NVS 510M must becoming out soon The NVS 510M is already out there... I saw one dude posting a screenshot with NVS 510M on it. :)
Guest Jack Dash
With 91.38 it is the same phenomenon. Only with the stock dell driver my 7900gtx is recognized. But thanks for the direct help!
