olis
hi, I have had this problem for a while. I mailed nvidia and they gave me your website. I have a DELL Inpiron 8200 with a Geforce 4 440Go. I can't update with the latest drivers. The last I could install was Version: 66.93 Release Date: November 9, 2004 -> from nvidia.com While trying to install the latest drivers all tell me (this also happened with driver 7779 from your website: The NVIDIA setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit. I can't play some games, NHL2006 mentioned a graphicd card problem, and COD2demo would tell me there are problems too. Is it necessary for me to update BIOS, sound, etc. If yes, where can I find thos updates? I run Windows XPhome edition. I don't know what to do to get thos drivers updated, thanks Edited August 22, 2006 by olis
Fabrice Roux
Head over to the FAQ section... read the recommended driver, the quickstart guide and the gaming troubleshooting.
The_Lead_Factor
Make sure to read the part about the modded INF :)
Bill
The latest drivers aren't always the best, especially for our old cards. You should try the 77.77 driver on your 440 go, using Pieter's mod INF file. Just replace the INF and install, hopefully using the device manager.
